Nestled on the rolling grounds of Bella Vista Farms in Pell City, Alabama, Bella Vista Winery invites visitors to “relax, laugh, and create lasting memories in a space designed for enjoyment.” Whether you’re sipping wine and nibbling on a charcuterie board indoors or outdoors, it’s the perfect cozy retreat for friends to gather, play board games, and unwind together.

A New Gem in the Making
James and Margie Sanford purchased the 21-acre property back in 2021, planting six varieties of muscadines in 2022 with dreams of opening a winery. Along the way, they renovated the space to host weddings and special occasions and erected a beautiful pavilion in early 2024—complete with views of rolling lawns and a shimmering glimpse of Logan Martin Lake at sunrise.
The finishing touch? In May 2025, the winery officially received approval, setting the stage for its grand arrival. On June 28, 2025, Bella Vista Winery welcomed its first guests.
What’s on the Menu
- Bella Vista offers a variety of wines to please every palate, ranging from semi-sweet and sweet selections to dry varieties. To complement your glass, guests can enjoy charcuterie boards sized for individuals, small groups (1–2), or larger groups (3–4), along with simple snacks like chips.
