Grab your cash and clear out that trunk! The legendary 127 Yard Sale, aka the World’s Longest Yard Sale, kicks off in Gadsden, Alabama, this year—and we’re talking a jaw-dropping 690-mile stretch of bargains from August 7–10.

When & Where It Happens
Dates: Thursday, August 7 – Sunday, August 10, 2025

  • Route: Starts at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, AL, then curves north via Lookout Mountain
  • Parkway and U.S. 127 through six states—all the way to Addison, Michigan
  • Although this maybe considered the official ending of the route (or start depending on how you look at it) you can catch participants off of highways and inside of communities throughout St. Clair and Etowah counties participating with yard sale items even before reaching Noccalula Falls.

How It All Began
Back in 1987, Mike Walker, a community leader in Fentress County, TN, had a vision: lure travelers off the interstates and into the charm of America’s small towns. He created a yard sale spanning just Tennessee and Kentucky. Over time, the route expanded—from adding Lookout Mountain (through GA & AL) to extending north into Ohio and Michigan—growing into today’s epic 690-mile sales thrill.

What You’ll Find Along the Way
Expect a treasure trove:

  • Antiques & vintage furniture
  • Crafts, collectibles & toys
  • Garden produce, local jams & artisan food
  • Tools, clothes, and one-of-a-kind oddities
  • Family-friendly spots, scenic vistas, and roadside fun
