A Venue Inspired by Purpose & Community
David Garcia, a longtime businessman who purchased the property with a clear and intentional purpose, partnered with onsite project manager Dorothea Hartley to bring something new, exciting, and much-needed to Talladega County. Garcia transformed the property into a venue that blends sophistication with practicality, offering families, businesses, and organizations a beautifully designed canvas for life’s biggest moments. Hartley’s creative vision is evident throughout the space, as she continually collaborates with Garcia and his team to introduce thoughtful enhancements and signature touches that elevate every event.
The name White Orchid is symbolic—representing peace and new beginnings—a theme Hartley says is woven into the design philosophy and experience of every event hosted at the venue.

At its core, White Orchid Events was created to serve as a multipurpose event center. The indoor facility can comfortably host 200 or more guests, depending on layout and outdoor integration. Its standout features include:
- A 16 × 18 performance stage perfect for live entertainment
- A 20-foot custom bar
- A spacious chef and caterers prep area
- A landscaped courtyard with gazebo

Expanding to New Heights: Pavilion, Bridal Suite & Balcony

Since opening, the venue has continued to grow and upgrade. Recent additions include:

This new pavilion expands the venue’s capacity and introduces an outdoor gathering space ideal for concerts, receptions, reunions, corporate events, and large community celebrations. The pavilion comfortably holds up to 400 guests, giving White Orchid the ability to host major events not commonly accommodated in the area.
✔ A Newly Added Loft Style Bridal Suite with Balcony
Designed with comfort, convenience, and elegance in mind, the new bridal suite offers a beautifully appointed private space for brides and their wedding parties to prepare for the big day. This addition reflects the venue’s ongoing commitment to elevating the wedding-day experience and providing thoughtful amenities that make every moment feel special. The suite is connected to an elevated balcony that not only enhances the flow of the wedding party allowing special guests to see the entire room from up top along with a picturesque backdrop for photos, intimate moments, and unforgettable first looks.
Behind the Experience
With more than 15 years of event planning experience, Dorothea Hartley serves as the backbone of the event operations as onsite project manager. Her expertise covers weddings, quinceañeras, business functions, reunions, retirement celebrations, corporate planning sessions, and more.
